Oops I accidentally pressed “Publish” when I meant to hit “Save Draft” so those on my email list got a sneak preview of my post! In any case, here’s the post now. I had a dream last night that was kind of weird to me. The past couple weeks some of my friends have been asking me about relationship advice (I suppose because of my good track record with Chris), and it dawned upon me that the last time I was single was 4 years ago.
So it came to my attention that I had never done a blog post on banana bread. This is kind of surprising to me because I’m pretty sure banana bread was one of the first things I ever baked successfully on my own. I had made cookies and stuff before but those were usually kind of not very tasty because my mom would always want me to only put half the sugar in, and then the cookies would fail terribly because a) they would taste gross and b) because the actual structure of the cookies themselves needed the caramelizing effect of the sugar to be stable.
Last night I realized that I hadn’t baked anything in about a week or so. Which felt really weird to me. So I browsed through my StumbleUpon favourites for some delicious baked goods and I remembered this pull-apart bread from when I was in class stumbling and not exactly paying attention =P [Read more...]
I’m obviously going through a procrastinating-life-by-baking phase. I think I should share a fun fact: when I procrastinate I either clean or bake. Usually bake. And I uuuusually don’t eat most of what I make (unless its lemon squares. I -LOVE- lemon squares.)
